TEXANS HOCKEY ACADEMY IS DIRECTED BY DAN WILDFONG & KNUTE ANDERSON


Hockey Director:  Dan Wildfong 

Dan Wildfong has been at the helm of the NAHL’s Lone Star Brahmas for more than a decade. The coach has amassed over 600 wins for the franchise and helped numerous young men earn college scholarships and pro contracts. A player himself, Dan scored nearly 500 points with the Shreveport Mudbugs and retired as one of the most highly regarded players in Mudbugs franchise history. Prior to going pro, he played four years of D1 hockey at Colgate University.


Hockey Director: Knute Anderson Knute has served as NYTEX Hockey Director since the Centre opened their doors in 2007.  He has held the position of Head of Coaches for the Jr. Brahmas for over a decade.  Knute has coaching experience at every level having coached: SQ AA, PW AA,  PW A, BT AA, Midget Minor AA, Midget Major A, Jr A III,  and Midget Major AA. Coach Anderson was also the longest active Head Coach for High School in the TAHA High School leagues.  He has won 3 City Championships and 2 State Titles and has recently concluded a 12 year run as Head Coach for the Southlake Dragons Hockey Program.

Coaching Credentials include: Level 5 Master Rated Coach, attendance to the past three National Symposiums. Anderson remains deeply involved in the TAHA mission of growing the sport of hockey in Texas. Additionally he administers house recreational programs, camps and clinics at NYTEX Sports Centre.  He has helped in the USA Hockey CEP training for Level I and Level II.  Coached the High School Showcase team for TAHA in Chicago.  Coached the High School All-Star team several times.

Brahmas Hockey Goalie Coach since 2014, Chris Lucasiewicz has helped countless Junior Brahmas goalies develop critical skills from the fundamentals to the most advanced nuances of goaltending specific talents. Parents and players agree that Luka creates a comfortable atmosphere during instruction, tailoring his lessons to be most relatable for the individual players, and imparts a solid foundation for players of all levels to develop and benefit.
